EdOdyssey Travel Scholarship
Each year, EdOdyssey offers a number of merit-based scholarships from $50 - $3,000, depending on the type of program. Scholarship submissions are reviewed by the scholarship committee on a monthly basis. Any submissions received on the back half of the month will be reviewed during the following month. Notifications regarding awarded scholarships will be sent out monthly. Applications must be fully completed and submitted within sixty (60) days from the participant’s program registration deadline.
EdOdyssey's scholarship fund begins and ends each academic year, and due to the rolling nature of our scholarships, they become more competitive over time, so it is best to submit them sooner rather than later!
SCholarship THEME: “PEOPLE CHANGE THE WORLD”
The current scholarship theme is “People Change The World.” Tell us about someone who has inspired you to learn more about the world and travel. This person can be a person from history, a role model, a teacher, a classmate, a coach or anyone significant in your life. Tell us who he or she is, the role that he or she plays in your life, and how has this person changed and shaped you. How has his or her experiences and his or her story inspired you to lead positive change in your family, school, town, community, country and/or world?
We encourage students reflect critically about this special person is and how he or she has impacted their respective lives. How has this particular individual inspired you to challenge yourself in and out of the classroom? How will you continue to challenge yourself abroad with EdOdyssey, if awarded a scholarship?
Entries are judged by the scholarship committee on creativity, inventiveness, and how the expression of the idea relates to the theme. Videos, photographs, writing pieces and artwork are all accepted.

Scholarship applications are divided into two categories: 1. custom programs (all secondary programs and faculty-led trips) and 2. study abroad. These merit-based scholarships are judged on a case by case basis. Scholarship applications get more competitive as the academic year moves forward because we accept scholarship applications on a rolling basis so don’t wait to apply!
The scholarship committee looks at each application individually and reviews each application based on the strength of the application, the creativity and originality of the piece submitted and the passion from the applicant.
